Biography

JEAN CLAUDE GRANDFOND

Serene Calm

Jean Claude Grandfond was born in Nievre, France in 1943. He continued to live and study in France for several years, and graduated from de L’ecole des Arts Appliqués. Grandfond’s burgeoning artistic career took off immediately following his academic training. His ingenious use of colors; celery green, a soft butter-like maze, and an array of cashmere blues well rhyme the nature he composes on his canvases. He is a master at transposing the elements of light onto his canvases. Grandfond’s delicate blended brushstrokes also discretely infiltrate those same elements of nature and light into his work. Jean Claude’s painting is a soft, serene and calming symphony for the eye. His great love of nature’s quiet romance is evidenced in his paintings; awash with light and tranquility.

Jean Claude Grandfond is a member of the Salon des Artistes Français, and the Salon des Artistes Orléanais. He has been exhibited internationally and has been collected by both private and public art enthusiasts. His art has been exhibited and enjoyed in Western Europe, South America, Asia, and the United States.
